EMCS a leading advisory and tax company is proud to announce its 40th anniversary in business. Since its establishment in 1983, the company has achieved significant milestones and has become a trusted name in the industry.
To mark this special occasion, EMCS recently hosted an event at its new office premises located at Centris Business Gateway in Mriehel.
The event saw the participation of EMCS clients, stakeholders and employees, together with John C. Grech, founder of EMCS and Chairman of Fimbank, Archbishop Charles Jude Scicluna, Miriam Dalli, Minister for Environment, Energy and Enterprise, David Xuereb, Chairman MCESD.
Whilst addressing the guests, John Farrugia, Managing Partner, EMCS described the
40 years of business as a remarkable milestone and announced some of the recent key developments that have been taking place. “We are proud to announce two major achievements that highlight our dedication to expansion and excellence. These landmarks include a successful merger with HRM, an esteemed accounting firm, and the acquisition of Malta Insurance Training Centre (MITC), a renowned institution in the Insurance sector.”
The merger with HRM represents a strategic move that unites two forces in the industry, combining the strengths, talents, and experience of EMCS and HRM. By leveraging their collective efforts, EMCS aims to provide even more robust and innovative solutions to their clients in Malta, setting new industry standards and achieving mutual growth and success.
On the other hand, the acquisition of MITC further solidifies EMCS's position as a market leader in the provision of corporate training. This strategic move has provided the basis for EMCS to provide unique specialized training to the insurance sector which continues to have a strong presence in the Maltese economy. John Farrugia described the acquisition of MITC “as a unique opportunity to be able to build a strong partnership with the insurance sector, which sector continues to play a very important role in the Maltese economy”.
The event was also addressed by the founder and former partner at EMCS, Dr John C Grech. Dr Grech spoke about the importance of building the right culture in a firm and how such a culture must be one that values human relationships. He said “this was the culture that was at the heart of EMCS 40 years ago and it is clear that such a culture continues to thrive today”.
