At EMCS, we are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Associate to join our Client Accounting team. This role is ideal for students or individuals in the early stages of pursuing ACCA, University, or MCAST accounting qualifications who are eager to build practical skills, learn from experienced professionals, and grow within a leading advisory firm.
As part of our team, you will gain exposure to a variety of accounting functions, work with a diverse client portfolio, and receive ongoing mentoring and support to help you develop your career in accountancy.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of invoices provided by client.
- Posting them in accounting package
- Scanning the documentation when necessary
- Assisting with the maintenance of fixed asset register
- Assistance with calculating depreciation
- Assistance with sourcing supporting documentation when necessary.
- Assistance with payroll
- Assistance with preparation of management accounts.
- Support the team with basic client queries and communications under supervision;
- Provide general administrative and accounting support to the Client Accounting team;
- Develop practical accounting knowledge through on-the-job training and mentoring;
Essentially Primary Requirements
- Applicants should be in the early stages of studying towards their ACCA qualification or equivalent University/MCAST qualification, or willing to pursue ACCA studies.
- Keen to learn, develop professionally and receive mentoring within a supportive team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
