EMCS has been instrumental in securing EU Funds for the Archdiocese of Malta to restore and conserve 10 more projects in addition to the 17 that started last year. The investment for the whole project will be €4 million of which 80% will be co-financed by the European Union.
These projects include structural works on several churches around Malta, as well as, the conservation of work of art among them 2 paintings by Francesco Zahra. These projects also include the retoration of the Palace of the Archbishop in Valletta which on various occasions has been opened to the public on the request of the Archbishop of Malta Charles Scicluna.
The parishes benefitting from the Operational Prorgamm for EU Structural Funds (2014-2020) are: Żebbuġ, Valletta (St Paul’s), Floriana, Ħamrun (San Gejtanu), Qrendi, Msida, Senglea and Sliema (San Girgor).
