Responsibilities
The selected candidate will assist the Director in charge to manage our accounting team
ensuring timely and accurate delivery of accounting services to international clients while
maintaining strong professional relationships. This role involves close collaboration with
senior management and junior colleagues, clients, and other service providers, thus
requiring excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Duties
Client Management and Service Delivery:
- Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
- Service Delivery Oversight: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all agreed upon services, including bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, tax filings,
payroll processing, and management reporting.
- Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve client issues, concerns, and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Client Onboarding: Lead the process of onboarding new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and a clear understanding of service agreements.
- Quality Assurance: Review and approve work prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
Team Leadership and Management:
- Supervision: Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and bookkeepers.
- Performance Management: Assist with setting goals and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities for the team.
- Work Allocation: Assist in allocating tasks and manage workloads to ensure deadlines are met and resources are utilized efficiently.
- Team Building: Foster a positive and collaborative team environment
Financial and Operational Management:
- Process Improvement: Assist with highlighting ways to improve process within the department to the senior manager or director.
- Compliance: Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and other relevant regulations to ensure client and firm compliance.
Essentially Primary Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (Masters in Accountancy ) or ACCA Warranted
- 3- 5 years experience ideally from an accounting firm, a CSP, or a similar environment where you've managed a portfolio of clients.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is crucial.
- Experience with various accounting software packages is a must. This often includes proficiency in common software Sage Evolution; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is also a key requirement.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- The ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team of accountants This includes delegating tasks, providing training, and conducting performance reviews.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to identify and resolve complex accounting issues.
