Sara holds a degree in Law from the University of Malta and a Master’s degree in International Law and International Relations (LLM) from the University of Canterbury in Kent. Sara has experience in the management and implementation of projects on a national, European and international level.
She joined EMCS in 2018 and has since been working on the management and implementation of projects and on the procurement of new projects. Her work is largely focused on the implementation of the ‘Provision of Non-Technical skills training for Healthcare Personnel’ (ESF 02.052) project. The project aims to train 6,000 healthcare personnel over a three-year period and is one of the numerous projects managed by the Advisory team.
Before joining EMCS, Sara spent 8 years working in Brussels where she gained experience working with EU entities, particularly the Council of the European Union, the European Commission and civil society. On her return to Malta, Sara gained extensive experience in EU direct and indirect funding whilst working as a Project Manager on various EU funded projects falling under a number of funding programs including Erasmus+, Creative Europe, FP7, Horizon 2020 and Interreg.
