Antoinette Gouder joined the company in 2008, initially assuming overall responsibility of all matters concerning premises and facilities, including management of the Business Centre side of the operations.

As the company grew and evolved, EMCS recognised the need for maximum focus on people matters, her role evolved and she became progressively more involved in the Human Resources function, and was responsible for setting up and structuring the department in its present format.

Antoinette is a creative and focused individual with well-honed people skills. She now oversees the entire HR function, focusing on strategic planning and policy development, ensuring alignment of  HR initiatives and policies to organizational goals and innovating on best practice. Duties include:

  • Overseeing the organization’s recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes
  • Overseeing all employee services throughout the employment life-cycle
  • Ensuring compliance with employment, GDPR, and other relevant legislation
  • Establishing organizational policies
  • Advising the board and managers on employee and employer rights and obligations and disciplinary matters
  • Coordinating and supervising the work of specialists and support staff
  • Co-ordinating all staff development matters – from training needs analysis to implementation of the training programme including procurement of Training funds where applicable
  • Researching and establishing reward mechanisms beyond mere financial compensation thus ensuring staff motivation remains high and staff retention prioritised.
