Stefano is known for his extensive knowledge of the European Union project and its institutions, more specifically the European Parliament and the Commission with which he has dealt for several years.

He has led a number of high-profile assignments for both the private and public sector and has carried out a number of EU impact assessments for various sectors of the economy.

He is a key author of several important documents on Structural Funds in Malta and has been engaged in evaluations of many EU funded projects and Programmes.

Stefano is a past president of the Malta Chamber of Commerce as well as the Malta Business Bureau (MBB).

Stefano is serving his second term as Vice-President of the Employers Group within the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in Brussels. He is also the chairperson of the Brexit Group within the same EESC and has been appointed by Government to form part of the Malta UK Business Promotion Task Force.
