Up to €200,000 to invest in Digital Technology for your Business

Digital has become the number one priority for all businesses. The Recovery and Resilience Plan for Malta is offering support through its two SME Digital Grant Schemes which were launched in June 2022 and extend till September 2022.

The past two years, have placed businesses on the fast lane, accelerating the transformation from local to global while adopting new ways of doing business. Companies today know that to thrive and remain competitive investing in digital technologies is essential.

When a business invests in digital transformation and adopts technology that is best suited to its strategic goals it can register new opportunities and growth. Through digital schemes, enterprises can get up to 50% - 60% funding support for investment relating to:

New President brings valuable understanding of European Affairs to table.

“Alison Mizzi has deep experience in EU Affairs. She is an advocate for commitment and warrants success in her work. We are excited to see her engage in this new role,” John Farrugia, Managing Partner, EMCS Ltd.

Alison will continue to be part of the Advisory team at EMCS where she is responsible for EU-funding consultancy services.

Before joining EMCS she worked with the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry for European Affairs, where she held senior management positions related to EU funding, programming, management, monitoring and implementation.

EMCS assists businesses reshape and thrive despite the pandemic

The pandemic has disrupted all businesses but especially small businesses which were generally caught unaware and ill-prepared for such a significant event. It took us all a while to reset and adjust to the new environment we now needed to work in. We have now recognised and learnt first-hand that there is a lot businesses can do to not only survive but also to thrive in this ‘new normal’.

With all hands-on deck EMCS approached businesses in difficulty with a positive attitude and some handy solutions. Having operated in management consultancy for well over two decades our experience has equipped us to drive SMEs back on target, to address issues which have been swept under the carpet for far too long.

Consultation on Guidance to Credit and Financial Institutions opening accounts for FinTechs

On the 27th of March 2019 MFSA and FIAU have decided to jointly issue a guidance document which is intended to assist Credit and Financial Institutions to better understand the risk of any prospective customers active in financial technology prior to servicing them and to complement their due diligence procedures by providing guidance on which information and documentation should be requested.

The document includes also supplementary guidance for Credit Institutions, Payment Institutions and Electronic Money Institutions opening accounts for DLT Exchanges, Issuers of DLT Assets, VFA Service Providers (authorised or seeking to be authorised by MFSA), and FinTechs accepting DLT Assets as a means of payment.
