SUMMARY:Do you Lead or Micromanage?
DESCRIPTION:ONLINE COURSE\n  \nSYNOPSIS\nMore than ever businesses need good leaders\, but instead we seem to have businesses filled with Micromanagers. The reality is that no one likes to be micromanaged. It’s frustrating\, demoralising and demotivating. Yet\, some managers can’t seem to help themselves. To make things worse most micromanagers do not even know that they are doing it. This course will outline what you need to do to stop micromanaging to start leading instead and how you can handle a micromanaging boss or superior.\n  \nBACKGROUND INFORMATION\nWe seem to have an abundance of Micromanagers and a scarcity of proper Leaders. Many times person go up the hierarchical scale as they show a proficiency in a certain technical skill but few realise that the higher the hierarchical scale you go\, you will require less of the technical skills you are so good at and more of the leadership skills many are so weak in. Hence we end up with managers and leaders doing what they know best i.e. micromanaging.\n  \nOBJECTIVES OF THE SESSION\nThe objective is to understand what micromanaging is all about and as to whether you are more of a leader or a micromanager. Then we will go through various techniques as to how you can stop micromanaging for your own benefit and most of all for the benefit of your team. I will focus on how to delegate properly as part of reducing your micromanaging instinct. Finally\, I will be giving tips as to how persons feeling frustrated with being micromanaged can cope with such a difficult situation.\n  \nTOPICS ON THE AGENDA\n\n\nWhat is Micromanaging?\n\n\nSymptoms of a Micromanager\n\n\nWhat’s wrong with Micromanaging people?\n\n\nHow to stop Micromanaging\n\n\nThe power of delegating properly\n\n\nHow to deal and work with a Micromanager\n\n\n  \nTARGET AUDIENCE\nPractitioners in industry\, students and all those in the profession.\n  \nSPEAKERS PROFILE\nSilvan holds a degree in Banking & Finance from the University of Malta and an MBA from the University of Reading\, specialising in Corporate Finance and Business Leadership. SUMMARY:Inauguration of restored Mdina Apse
DESCRIPTION:Tlesta x‑xogħol ta’ restawr u konservazzjoni fuq il‑pittura fl‑apside tal‑Katidral ta’ San Pawl\, l‑Imdina\, li sar mill‑Arċidjoċesi ta’ Malta b’kofinanzjament minn fondi tal‑Unjoni Ewropea. Dan il‑proġett b’investiment ta’ €70\,000 ġie inawgurat mill‑Isqof Awżiljarju Joseph Galea‑Curmi. \nIl‑pittura li ġiet irrestawrata kienet ikkummissjonata lil Mattia Preti fl‑1688 u saret fuq il‑ħajt tal‑knisja l‑antika\, jiġifieri dik li kien hemm qabel it‑terremot tal‑1693. Il‑pittura turi n‑nawfraġju ta’ San Pawl u hija meqjusa bħala waħda mill‑aktar pitturi fidili lejn ir‑rakkont tan‑nawfraġju fl‑Atti tal‑Appostli. Fiċ‑ċentru tagħha jidher l‑Appostlu Missierna San Pawl iħares lejn il‑Missier Etern li qed jibgħat lill‑anġlu tiegħu biex isabbar lil San Pawl u jaċċertah li l‑276 persuna fuq il‑ġifen se jsalvaw kollha. Matul is‑snin saret ħafna ħsara lil din il‑pittura bil‑konsegwenza li kellhom isiru numru ta’ interventi ta’ restawr. \nWaqt konferenza tal‑aħbarijiet fil‑Katidral tal‑Imdina\, l‑Isqof Joseph Galea‑Curmi qal li l‑Katidral\, li huwa s‑sede tal‑Arċisqof ta’ Malta\, huwa ġawhra prezzjuza fl‑istorja reliġjuża ta’ pajjiżna li turi kif l‑għeruq tagħna l‑Maltin kienu msawra u msaħħa fil‑fidi sa mill‑bidu. Huwa fakkar kif din il‑knisja fil‑belt kapitali l‑antika ta’ Malta\, tissemma’ għall‑ewwel darba fl‑1299 meta l‑knisja kienet qed tinbena\, u li sa mill‑bidu nett dan it‑tempju kien ddedikat lil San Pawl. L‑Isqof Galea‑Curmi rringrazzja lill‑Ministeru għall‑Affarijiet Ewropej għall‑fondi tal‑Unjoni Ewropea\, li permezz tagħhom ukoll seta’ jsir dan ir‑restawr. Huwa ħeġġeġ lis‑soċjetà Maltija biex filwaqt li tikber fl‑apprezzament tal‑patrimonju ekkleżjastiku ta’ pajjiżna\, tagħraf il‑ħeġġa li biha missirijietna b’tant sagrifiċċju għexu u esprimew l‑identità reliġjuża tagħhom għaliex għarfu dak li kien tal‑akbar ġid għalihom u għal uliedhom. \nIs‑Segretarju Amministrattiv tal‑Arċidjoċesi ta’ Malta\, Michael Pace Ross\, irringrazzja lir‑restawraturi ReCoop għal dan ix‑xogħol ta’ restawr u konservazzjoni li qal ser ikun jista’ jitgawda minna\, minn dawk kollha li jiġu jżuru pajjiżna\, kif ukoll mill‑ġenerazzjonijiet futuri. Qal li l‑Katidral tal‑Imdina hu wieħed mill‑knejjes fl‑Arċidjoċesi ta’ Malta li bbenefika mill‑Fond Ewropew għall‑Iżvilupp Reġjonali 2014‑2020. \nRitratti: knisja.mt/ritratti

SUMMARY:EU funded restoration works
DESCRIPTION:Restoration works on the Holy Family Church in Bidnija were completed with an investment of around €85\,000 co-financed by European funds which were secured by EMCS Ltd. The project was inaugurated this morning by the Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Galea-Curmi and Parliamentary Secretary for European Funds and Social Dialogue Aaron Farrugia. The Administrative Secretary of the Archdiocese of Malta Michael Pace Ross was also present. \nDuring the conference it was explained that restoration works were done on the facade and the sides of the church\, the bell tower\, and the churchyard. The process took six months to complete. \nBishop Galea-Curmi said that the inauguration of this project reminds us of the importance of protecting our country’s patrimony\, and of protecting it for the benefit of present and future generations. He said that the Church is committed to protecting its patrimony. He appealed to the rest of society to care for cultural and historic heritage which is an expression of faith emanating from the love of the Maltese people. The auxiliary bishop thanked the Parliamentary Secretariat for European Funds and Social Dialogue for their help in protecting Maltese identity\, as well as everyone involved in the project. \nParliamentary Secretary Aaron Farrugia said that such projects work to foster a sense of respect towards our cultural heritage\, with the aim of making the Maltese and Gozitan people proud of our historic and religious heritage which form a fundamental part of our identity. “The restoration of the Bidnija church is part of a bigger conservation project which is strengthening communities. It is also part of the government’s long-term vision for improving the lives of residents in their towns and villages.” \nIn his speech\, Michael Pace Ross said this is the first extensive restoration project that has ever been done on the church since it was built in 1920. He explained that the church has been made more accessible to persons with different abilities. \nThe Bidnija Church is one of the churches in Malta that has benefitted from European Regional Development Fund 2014-2020. \n________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ \nEMCS Ltd\, as the appointed EU Funding Advisor of the Archdiocese of Malta\, has secured €2.2 million of Structural Funds for Malta for the restoration and conservation of ecclesiastical cultural heritage across a number of Parishes around Malta. EMCS has also been entrusted with the management and co-ordination of the implementation of this EU funded project. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRitratti: knisja.mt/ritratti
