EU Grant Scheme Services- Structural Funds 2007 - 2013
A grant of € 10 million has been allocated towards the Grant Scheme for Sustainable Tourism Projects by Enterprises financed through the European Regional Development Fund which forms part of the EU's Structural Funds 2007 - 2013 for Malta.
The scheme, which is being managed by the Tourism and Sustainable Development Unit within the Office of the Prime Minister, directs funds towards the economic development of the tourism sector. Sustainable tourism projects submitted should strengthen Malta's competitive advantage in tourism; increase the use of ICT for tourism; increase good environmental practices by tourism enterprises as well as increase innovation in tourism.
All establishments implementing a tourism related project can apply. These include, but are not limited to:
- All licensed entities implementing a tourism project
- Accommodation and catering establishments
- Travel agencies/ tour operators
- Creative industries
- Museums / Heritage sites
- Sports centres
- Language learning centres
- Dive schools
- and others
Over the years EMCS assisted a number of companies to submit proposals which would be eligible under EU funded grant schemes. Grants are awarded to the top ranking applicants and our success rate is high
